Set on the Great Plains after the Civil War, it’s the story of the special relationship that grows between a black cavalry soldier named Marion, and a young Cheyenne woman named Talasi. Both become separated from their recognizable worlds and must rely on each other for survival. The drama unfolds amidst a clash of cultures as whites inexorably drive west and are resisted by plains tribes struggling to remain on the land they know and love.
