Just ask Aaron. He thought his trip to Yellowstone was the first step on his way to being a park ranger, even though almost no one supported him. They even joked about it. But that was the least of his problems. Something inside of him was causing him to hurt himself–on purpose. It started with hitting, but then got more serious.

Set on the Great Plains after the Civil War, it’s the story of the special relationship that grows between a black cavalry soldier named Marion, and a young Cheyenne woman named Talasi. Both become separated from their recognizable worlds and must rely on each other for survival. The drama unfolds amidst a clash of cultures as whites inexorably drive west and are resisted by plains tribes struggling to remain on the land they know and love.
